Sample Packages

Package Origin includes a set of sample packages. These exist to demonstrate each service. The samples are visible on unlicensed and demonstration instances of Package Origin.

To include the sample licences on a licensed instance of Package Origin, include the -include-samples flag:

./packageorigin -include-samples

Package Contents

The sample packages contain a single text file. The package is inert and for demonstration purposes only.

Apple Cultivars

The sample packages are named after apple cultivars from The National Fruit Collection in the United Kingdom. The naming is random and without meaning.

The collection’s information is covered by Crown Copyright and publicly licensed. Thus Package Origin contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
